Wildernest ranch

Experience an authentic East Texas getaway at Wildernest Ranch Bed and Breakfast. Viewing (and petting of some) ranch animals, nature walks, birding, or hiking on our ranch trails are all included activities with no additional charge. More than just a bed and breakfast, Wildernest Ranch is an enchanting setting for outdoor weddings, private parties, family reunions,  or just a tranquil escape. Come stay with us and you’ll understand why we call this magical place Wildernest.

Spend a night, a weekend, or longer at Wildernest Ranch Bed and Breakfast —a quietly hidden bed and breakfast on our family land, a 43-acre ranch a little over a 100  miles from Dallas, Texas. Unwind in the peaceful country amidst majestic trees in your choice of a charming two-story log cabin or a bunkhouse that comfortably sleeps eight. We have everything you will need for your next getaway in East Texas.

Enjoy the simple life in the calming surroundings of our place, where our own animals - horses, goats, chickens - abound. A ranch just wouldn't be a ranch without a loyal dog. We have two! Two of the sweetest, most loving lab mixes you'll ever meet, Thoreau and Bronte. If you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of a deer, crane, or a few rabbits. Rekindle a romance with romantic getaway, pack a sack lunch for a long hike along our many trails, or have a private picnic at the pavilion. Take a midnight stroll along the road, gaze at the stars, do nothing… do it all!

"Do not hesitate to book, you will not regret it. This exceeded expectations in the best ways possible, and the same holds true for the hosts. Mike and Staci have created and maintained something really special here, and we feel very grateful to have been a part of it for a few days. Thank you for a wonderful stay."

"I can't tell you just how much fun we had, and what a relaxing weekend it was! This place is the definition on peaceful and relaxing.
When you pull up and see the two sasquatches, you know you are at the right place! Staci and Mike are the greatest hosts I've ever had. The cabin was beautiful and their property was just breathtaking. If you love animals, you will love the chickens, 2 goats, 2 horses, and the 2 dogs. The dogs you will see running and chasing squirrels. The horses just love people and want to be petted. And the goats are just silly. If you love breakfast, then this is the place for you! Breakfast is always a surprise but a very good one! You might get lucky and get the best biscuits ever. I highly recommend Wildernest if you want a relaxing getaway at a great price.

"Wildernest Ranch is a wonderful place to stay! The Bunkhouse is beautifully decorated with such cool little touches all in a cowboy/ranch theme. Everything was spotless. The ranch is located in a peaceful location. There are horses, chickens, and goats. Trails to walk on. I ran a few times on the country road and didn't see a soul/car. The fire pit to sit around in the evening is wonderful! The best bit, though, is the people. You couldn't hope to meet nicer people. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to ensure our stay was fun."
